Five years ago, I was building a new home, and wanted it
to have a home theater. I knew absolutely nothing about projectors,
movie screens or HT computers. While searching the internet
one day, I fell upon AVScience. From reading forum posts,
and asking questions, and learning from the many people so
willing to share their knowledge, I was able to instruct the
builders on how to construct the home theater, and I learned
what equipment to put in it. So I went from HT novice to owning
a JVC G-11, a Stewart screen and PC that played movies!!!!
None of this would have been possible without Alan and his
associates at AVScience. A few months ago, when my JVC croaked,
AVScience was there once again…Now this was remarkable.
I called a few days before Xmass desperate for a projector
that would work in the same set-up as my G-11. Not an easy
feat considering that it was tucked away behind a wall, in
a projector room, 23 feet from the screen. But there was AVScience
to the rescue. On XMass I was watching movies on a Screenplay
777 that had been retrofitted by Kodak with some new color
gadgets, and a stock lens that works from 23 feet out. There
are many websites out there that offer products and advice.
